INYODO
In Japanese, the name ‘Inyodo’ means “the way of Yin and Yang,” representing balance, interconnection and mutual dependence. Here, it is a study in relation to an opponent. An opponent is necessary to prove a technique, in the form of success or failure. Our goal is to learn from both without emotional attachment.

For each student who walks through our doors, we will support and inspire you to achieve your personal best, working towards a blackbelt both on the mat and in life. As we train together, we also bring out the best in each other, building confidence and community.

Life Balance:
Martial Arts develops one’s overall well-being from fitness to focus. We learn lessons in life skills through training, challenges, accomplishments and failures. Often the most surprising insights about yourself come from your martial arts practice. No matter how young the student, training will lead to personal growth built upon hard work, responsibility, and self-awareness.

Consider the positive influences and role models your martial arts family will build into your life. Training here at Inyodo Martial Arts Academy provides a lifetime of education and a wealth of friendships for you and your family.

High Expectations. Positive Influence:
Inyodo Martial Arts Academy programs teach skills and encourage attitudes that impact every area of life.

Self-Defense:
Students learn effective and powerful self-defense skills and the understanding of “might for right” instead of selfish interest.

Respect:
“To learn with respect is to live with respect.” Respect is a fundamental requirement and it goes both ways. By learning respect, students learn to build strong relationships.

Discipline:
“Discipline is the refining fire by which talent becomes ability.” Training strengthens self-motivation and perseverance, even as it strengthens the body.

Goal Setting:
We are motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others. Experience through personal insight and the joy of achievement by earning progressively higher ranks.

Leadership:
“A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to others.” Advanced students are required to participate in our Instructor Development Program.

Family:
Families that kick together, stick together. We encourage all family members to get involved in our programs and we offer significant discounts to family members.
